Expected status after ileocecal resection (surgical scheme shown in insets) for Crohn’s disease (CD) complicated by mesenterial abscess. In keeping with normal endoscopic findings, WE-MDCT (ab) showed good distension of the proximal residual colon up to the distal cul-de-sac (o) and of the neoterminal ileum. Focused oblique reconstruction (c) showed patent side-to-side ileo-colic anastomosis (arrow) with non-thickened walls and minimal mucosal hyperaemia
