Comparison between the different approaches used for radiogenomic studies. Regular approaches usually extract a single value of each radiomic feature for the whole patient, obscuring radiomic habitats by assuming radiomic features are well mixed. This is then compared to the data obtained from a single biopsy from an unknown or approximate location. Targeted approaches overcome this limitation by utilising radiomic maps that convey local information for each radiomic feature.
