Chronic subdural hematoma (SDH). A 73-year-old male with trivial head trauma later developed progressive loss of cognitive function. a & b axial T2W and FLAIR sections of brain show hyperintense extra axial fluid collection in bilateral cerebral convexities (white arrows) with severe compression of adjacent cerebral hemispheres and effacement of the ventricles & sulci. c axial GRE image of the brain demonstrate predominantly hyperintense fluid in bilateral cerebral convexities with hypointense margin on the medial aspect. There are also localized hypointensities (blooming susceptibility artefacts from the blood products) on the anterior aspects of the collections (black arrows)
