A 64-year-old man with prostate carcinoma treated with brachytherapy. Routine follow-up unenhanced CT reveals multiple radio-dense seeds in the prostate and several which have migrated out of the prostate revealed both on the scout tomogram (a) and axial CT images (b). Seeds are located in the right gluteus maximus and right pelvic veins (black arrows) and embedded in the right ventricle (open white arrows). Seed migration is common, occurring in up to 25 % of patients and should be noted on follow-up imaging
