There is a somewhat circumscribed, non-encapsulated nodule in the dermis, composed of bland stellate and short spindle-shaped cells in a myxoid (mucinous) stroma with prominent small blood vessels. The overlying epidermis show attenuated rete ridges and slight compact hyperkeratosis
