Pyelonephritis and renal abscesses. Coronal (a) and axial (b) contrast CT images in 2014 of the abdomen demonstrate a delayed right nephrogram with cortical heterogeneity. Suggestion of mass-like areas in the right kidney with perinephric stranding (arrows) identified, mimicking the multiple masses of renal lymphoma. This was presumed to be related to pyelonephritis with renal abscesses based on clinical presentation. Follow-up coronal contrast CT in 2017 (c) demonstrates focal parenchymal scarring in the region of the right lower pole mass as a result of prior infection (arrowhead)
