Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise (CNR) were calculated based on three regions of interest (ROIs). The yellow ROI represents the tumor, which was delineated slice by slice along the tumor margin. The red ROI on background was placed within the field of view but outside the body surface. The blue ROI represents normal tissue, which was drawn in normal rectum tissue at a single slice. The mean and standard deviation of the signal intensity were obtained from each ROI to calculate SNR and CNR
