A 62-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with fever, fatigue, and right upper quadrant pain. The patient had a previous history of liver hydatid disease which was stable for 1-year of follow-up. Axial contrast-enhanced CT image shows a liver abscess. Floating membranes (arrows) and associated air-fluid level (asterisk) within the cyst indicating superinfection of a liver hydatid cyst. Culture test following percutaneous drainage of the cyst revealed Streptococcus anginosus infection
