A 48-year-old male with known HIV presenting with recent onset of abdominal pain and mild weight loss. Axial plane postcontrast arterial phase CT image demonstrates several peripherally enhancing liver lesions (arrows) located within the right lobe. Metastatic liver disease or pyogenic microabscesses were initially considered. Percutaneous biopsy was consistent with syphilitic liver abscesses. The RPR test was also found to be positive after the biopsy diagnosis
