MRI performed in the same patient as in Figs. 3 and 9, 14 months after proton-therapy. Axial T2-weighted image (a) shows decrease of extension of the hyperintense area in left temporal region. Axial post-contrast T1-weighted image (b) reveals the presence of a better defined contrast enhancing lesion. Multi-voxel MRS with long TE (c) performed after 4 months shows evident decrease in Choline peak and the appearance of a lactate-lipid peak, typical for radionecrosis
