The starry-sky artefact. This artefact was visible as grainy image noise (white arrows) on the transverse reconstructions of the 3D FLAIR sequence with Compressed SENSE (a-c) if compared to corresponding transverse reconstructed images of a 3D FLAIR with Compressed SENSE but without this artefact in the same volunteer (d-f) after sequence repetition. The artefact was also visible on coronal reconstructions and on sagittal source images (not depicted) of the 3D FLAIR sequence
