Oesophagitis. CT angiogram of the chest in soft tissue window shows circumferential oesophageal wall thickening in a patient who presented with chest pain. Please note the contrast enhancement of the mucosa which creates a hyperdense inner layer contrasting with the rest of the wall; this is an imaging feature that can be observed in gastrointestinal inflammatory diseases
