Axial (a) and coronal (b) contrast-enhanced CT images illustrate a sinus venosus defect (asterisk), located eccentrically in the interatrial septum near the entry of the super vena cava (SVC) into the right atrium (RA). Instead of draining into the left atrium (LA) the right pulmonary veins (RPVs) conjoin with the superior vena cava into the RA. There is also interatrial communication through a short vein segment (asterisk in c).
