Quantification of native T1 values of a healthy volunteer in a four-chamber view obtained at 3 T. The resulting pixel by pixel colour native T1 map is displayed using a customised table where normal myocardium is purple and increasing T1 ranges from orange to yellow. Normal values of native T1 at 3 T (Magneton Trio-Tim; Siemens) with MOLLI sequence are 1,031 ± 24 ms. Post-contrast T1 values at 15 min are much shorter (557 ms, in the range of orange in the colour scale), due to the relaxing effect of the residual gadolinium in the myocardial interstitium
