Pseudo-pneumatosis in a 52-year-old man with abdominal distension. Axial unenhanced CT shows gas collections within faeces and between faeces and bowel wall (arrows), consistent with pseudo-pneumatosis. Note the thin layer of high-attenuation enteric contrast surrounding the stool (arrowhead) simulating intestinal wall. This might lead to a misdiagnosis of true pneumatosis
